This summer sees a fantastic array of events in Alexandra Park. From open air afternoon concerts on the beautiful Victorian bandstand, Playdays for little ones to our popular open air film night. There’s something for everyone, as well as a wonderful choice of delightful refreshments and bar services (from lunches, cream teas to local ales) all available from eat @ the park café.
Sun 20th July
Afternoon bandstand concert from 1066 Pipes and Drums. Opening the bandstand season in traditional style from 2-4pm, deckchairs will be out!
Sun 27th July
Afternoon bandstand concert from Sussex Brass. In the second of our ever-popular free summer holiday bandstand concerts, we welcome our good friends back for an afternoon of delightful music. 2-4pm, deckchairs will be out!
Mon 28th July
Sara Lee Trust charity Treasure Hunt 11-2 starting from the bandstand. Entry £5 per team (family or friends), or £4 in advance. Contact helensfarm@hotmail.co.uk.
Sun 3rd August
Afternoon bandstand concert from the Wall of Sound Choir, with a delightful mix of ensemble numbers and solo pieces, and something for everyone! 2-4pm, free, deckchairs will be out!
Wed 6th August
Play Day! A free play festival organized by those amazing people at Hastings Borough Council’s play department, these annual play days are hugely popular, and quite rightly so. 10.30am-3.30pm.
Sat 9th August
Open air film night. The eat @ annual night out, this year we are Footloose! With dancing demos and a chance to get involved, this is definitely one not to be missed. No advance tickets – adults £4, children £2, 15s and under must be accompanied by an adult. Bar and bbq available, please do not bring your own alcohol or any glass. 7.30pm start, film will start at dusk.

Free bandstand concert. This week we welcome back the East Peckham Silver Band, 2-4pm, deckchairs will be out!
Weds 13th August
Play Day! A free play festival organized by those amazing people at Hastings Borough Council’s play department, these annual play days are hugely popular, and quite rightly so. 10.30am-3.30pm.
Sat 16th & Sun 17th August
Hastings Town & Country Fair. This popular Family Country Show returns for the 6th year. Admission charges apply. www.oakleighfairs.co.uk/hastings for more info.
Sun 17th August
Free bandstand concert. A real treat from local band Loose Ends, who went down a storm last year, with their unique take on 20th century popular classics. 2-4pm, deckchairs will be out!
Weds 20th August
FREE Family Play trail/quiz with prizes 10.30am-4.30pm. The Play Hastings team will be by the bandstand for you to collect your family trail sheet. The quiz involves finding things in the park and answering questions. Collect a prize on completion. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Sun 24th August
Free bandstand concert. We’re delighted to be welcoming back Maidstone Wind Symphony. 2-4pm, deckchairs will be out!
Mon 25th August
11.30am-5pm Companion Dog Show. To take part, arrive with your pooch on the day to register at 11.30. Judging from 12.30, pop-up café refreshments will be available.
Weds 27th August

Free bandstand concert. Finishing off our summer concert season, local heroes No Exit will help us celebrate in style. 2-4pm, deckchairs will be out!
