Summer Bandstand Music in the Park

At Eat @ the Park, we are extremely proud to announce our summer bandstand line-up of talented local musicians to enhance your Sunday afternoons.
We have an excellent line-up this year which takes in the traditional with Sussex Brass and 1066 Pipes and Drums, as well as the more contemporary, with rock favourites The Referrals and local blues legends Helen Sharpe and Rufus Stone.

Bands will play between 2 and 4pm on the dates below, with an interval. Admission is free, as are deckchairs, but please remember that the concerts are subject to cancellation in the case of very poor weather. Eat @ the Park Cafe will be open throughout for all your refreshment needs, from ice creams to Pimms, a full English to a goats cheese panini, and much more in between!

Sunday Music Line-up

29th July – Sussex Brass
They’ve not played on the bandstand for a few years now, so we are really looking forward to a homecoming performance from this highly regarded group of musicians to kick-start our summer programme.

5th August – Sharpe and Stone
Helen Sharpe and Rufus Stone have a warm, humorous and soulful take on timeless classics and old school funk, soul and disco covers. Sure to bring on a mass outbreak of singing, smiling and dancing!

12th August – 1066 Pipes and Drums
Visually and acoustically full of impact, this is the first of two concerts for us by our old friends, and practically our house band. Really something to behold, this band are worth catching at both outings if you can.

19th August – The Referrals
Some good old singalong rock and blues standards from this group of friends who will rock out your Sunday

26th August – 1066 Pipes and Drums
The second visit from our friends and the last of our summer Sunday sessions, but by no means the end of the summer’s fun. Check out our Day at the Park posting coming soon for a whole day’s bandstand music as well as a funfair, craft market, children’s activities and entertainment, baking competition and so much more.
