Hi I have seen in a magazine that you are showing Dirty Dancing on sat 20th August and that charges apply. I have been every year since it started and have gradually encouraged more people to come but did not believe there was a charge. Can you please tell me how much it will cost so I can let all my friends know. Hope it is not too expensive as it is a really good evening out and I would highly recommend it to all I talk to. Keep them coming.

Hi Maria, glad you enjoy the film nights – we love them too. But they cost a small fortune to put on (insurance, door staff, lighting etc, as well as the the film licence and the very reasonable cost of the Electric Palace screen and staff for the night) so last year and this we have had to levy a small charge to help with costs. Adult admission is £4 and under 16s is £3, and we really hope that’s not an off-putting expense.
By the way, the film is a 15 – I think that the film licensing board was a little more prudish in 1987 than it might be now.
